applicable legislation and to other requirements to which the company subscribes.
Environmental considerations will be integrated into our business to improve, where practicable,
the sustainability of our activities, products and services.
2)
It is the responsibility of all employees to respect this policy, and training will be provided
in the environmental affects of our activities.
We will implement an environmental management system (EMS) complying with the requirements of the
International Standard ISO 14001 to facilitate continual improvement and to minimise our impact
on the environment.
3)
Key business objectives include:
-
Promoting the efficient use of energy in our business;
-
Reducing pollution and emissions associated with our transport;
-
Minimising waste, reusing and recycling materials (e.g. packaging) where possible and disposing of waste responsibly;
-
Improving water conservation; and
-
Encouraging our suppliers and contractors to adopt similar environmental values;
4)
GWIBS shall establish specific targets to satisfy these objectives and performance shall be
monitored to ensure continual improvement.
Employees play a critical role in the implementation of this policy and performance will be communicated
accordingly to encourage active participation.
