Caring for the environment is a key objective of
our business.
We shall act
responsibly to prevent pollution and shall demonstrate compliance
with applicable legislation and to other requirements to which
the company subscribes. Where practicable, environmental
considerations will be integrated into our business to improve
the sustainability of our activities, products and services.
It is the responsibility of all employees to respect this policy
and training will be provided in the environmental affects of
our activities. We will maintain our environmental management
system (EMS) complying with the requirements of the International
Standard ISO 14001 to facilitate continual improvement and to
minimise our impact on the environment. Key business objectives
include:
Promote the efficient use of energy in our business;
Reducing pollution and emissions associated with our transport;
Minimising waste, reusing and recycling materials (i.e. packaging) where possible and disposing of waste responsibly;
Improving water conservation and:
Encouraging our contractors to adopt similar environmental values.
GWIBS shall establish specific targets to satisfy these
objectives and performance shall be monitored to ensure
continual improvement. Employees play a critical role in the
implementation of this policy and performance will be communicated
accordingly to encourage active participation. Senior Management
will demonstrate commitment to this policy by means of leading
by example and shall periodically review this policy.
